These suburbs sit at the top of Darwin's 83-suburb ranking — strong PT access, low weekly fares, and excellent multi-destination connectivity.
What makes them great
Darwin's top performers are all in the inner northern suburbs and Palmerston, where Darwin Bus services are most frequent. The relatively compact Greater Darwin area means most well-served suburbs can reach the CBD within 30–40 minutes, though the network is entirely bus-based with no rail.

Why they score so low
Darwin's lowest-scoring suburbs are the rural and remote Darwin fringe communities including Howard Springs, Humpty Doo corridor and coastal areas like Mandorah — which is only accessible by ferry. These areas score 35 due to very infrequent or no bus services.
