How the score is calculated
The gettinthr score combines three weighted components. Journey Quality (45%) measures effective travel time to every other suburb in Canberra / ACT during the morning peak (8:30am Tuesday), applying a 10-minute penalty per transfer and a 5-minute penalty per bus leg. Cost Efficiency (25%) calculates actual MyWay fares for the CBD journey, multiplied by 10 trips per week, and divides weekly cost by weekly commuting hours to get cost-per-effective-hour.
